Immerse yourself in the world of cryptocurrency with Tonkeeper Pro, a leading self-custody crypto wallet based on The Open Network (TON) blockchain. Recently enhanced to best serve your needs, Tonkeeper Pro can now manage Tether (USDT) TRC20 tokens without the need of Tron (TRX), according to recent updates shared with Finbold this Friday, March 14.

Utilizing the integral Tonkeeper Battery feature, you can now fund transaction costs using either TON or USDT, transcending platform boundaries to include iOS and Android.

Unlocking the Power of Tonkeeper Pro

To avail this new TRC20 capability, simply open your Tonkeeper Pro desktop wallet, find your way to ‘Settings,’ and activate the relevant option.

    Streamlining Cryptocurrency Transactions

Tonkeeper Battery is an innovative feature acting as a prepaid service within the wallet. It allows you to load credits, which then autonomously manage transfer fees.

To refill the Battery, several supported tokens are at your disposal. Alternatively, you can use a bank card directly via in-app purchases. Oleg Andreev, Tonkeeper’s CEO, highlights the advantages brought about by this integration:

“We envisage Tonkeeper playing a pivotal role in making crypto payments accessible for everyone and everything. With the support for USDT-TRC20 in Tonkeeper Pro, you can make USDT payments without needing to have TRX in balance. The fees are handled by the Tonkeeper Battery. This makes it more convenient for users to smoothly transition to USDT on TON where transaction costs are markedly lower and USDT.”

Characterizing Tonkeeper Pro as a Dedicated Payments Wallet

The introduction of USDT TRC20 support eliminates the requirement for users to hold TRX for network fees, cementing Tonkeeper Pro’s standing as a dedicated payments-first wallet.

In the past, transfers involving Tron-based USDT necessitated the management of energy and bandwidth costs, frequently requiring TRX to cover the fees.

However, the Tonkeeper Battery simplifies these issues by intelligently estimating transaction needs and settling them without requiring TRX. Consequently, this upgrade resonates with Tonkeeper Pro’s broader goal of making digital transactions more efficient and accessible.

Which currencies does Tonkeeper Pro support?

Tonkeeper Pro supports multiple currencies such as TON and USDT. Users can also top-up their “Tonkeeper Battery” using several supported tokens or directly using a bank card.

How does Tonkeeper Pro simplify transactions?

Tonkeeper Pro simplifies transactions through its “Tonkeeper Battery” feature. This feature acts as a prepaid service wherein users can load credits to handle transfer fees automatically. This eliminates the need for users to manually process transaction fees.

Does Tonkeeper Pro require users to hold TRX for network fees?

No, the recent integration of USDT TRC20 support in Tonkeeper Pro eliminates the need for users to hold TRX for network fees. This reinforces Tonkeeper Pro’s focus as a payments-first wallet.
